Cabin Description and Amenities

Bella Luna Log Cabin (Bella Luna) is a custom built luxury log home sitting on twelve very private acres and is conveniently located within ten miles of most of the Hocking Hills major points of interest, such as Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave.  Laurelville and Logan are less than ten and twenty miles, respectively, from our property.

Bella Luna was constructed by the many skilled professionals employed by The Jubach Company, the premier builder of luxury log homes in southeast Ohio. At Bella Luna, we have created a feeling of casual elegance surrounded by rustic charm.  To the extent possible, we have furnished and decorated our home with the creations of local Ohio and mid-west regional artisans and craftsmen.

Bella Luna was designed as a retreat from the pressures of everyday life; a sanctuary where we could relax and enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature.  We invite responsible couples and families to come to Bella Luna and experience the beauty of the Hocking Hills while surrounded by the casual elegance and rustic charm of our log home. Bella Luna provides comfortable accommodations for, a maximum of, three couples or a family of six, as each level of our home contains a bedroom and bathroom.

Music may be enjoyed both inside in the great room and on the lower level; as well as outside on the covered deck and the loft's private balcony.  Prepare your meals in our fully equipped kitchen or on the gas grill.  Relax and enjoy Bella Luna's wooded surroundings from any of our covered outdoor living and dining areas.  There is a porch swing for you to relax and enjoy the privacy and tranquility that surrounds you at Bella Luna.

The loft, which overlooks the main living area, features a master bedroom suite with a queen size log bed.  Hand peeled log rafters support the loft's cathedral ceiling.  Sliding glass doors open to a private balcony where you can sit and watch sunrise or moonrise.  The luxurious master bath has a romantic tiled double shower, double vanity sinks, a vaulted ceiling with skylights and, a towel warmer to make you feel more pampered.  Step out onto the romantic private balcony with a ceiling fan.  Let your stress melt away as you listen to the breeze rustling leaves and soft music from our outdoor speakers.

The main level contains a great room, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with a queen size log bed and a full-size bathroom with a shower/tub.  The great room showcases a cathedral ceiling with skylights and a towering river rock gas log fireplace.  Hand peeled log rafters are featured in every room on this level along with a hand peeled cross tie log in the great room. The roof is supported by a massive hand peeled main support log that rises uninterrupted from the main floor to the ridge beam.  The staircase leading to the loft master bedroom suite is constructed of half logs.  Sliding glass doors open to the covered deck where you can enjoy the serenity of the outdoors regardless of the weather.

All of the exposed timbers in our home were harvested from the property.  We recycled some of the trees that were removed from our property when the building site was cleared.

The lower level features a game room equipped with a pool table, foosball table and whole house entertainment center.  The sitting room/bedroom has a full size log futon bed, two HD Flatscreen televisions, DIRECTV, and a DVD player.  The lower level bathroom contains another double shower for your convenience when preparing for, or concluding, your soak in the hot tub.  Luxurious spa robes are provided for your use during your stay.  Sliding doors open to the lower wraparound deck that features a six-person lighted hot tub.

The outdoor living area also features a moon and stars themed fire ring for your enjoyment. Please use only locally purchased firewood due to the threat of transporting the Emerald Ash Borer into the area.  The Emerald Ash Borer is an exotic insect pest that threatens Ohio's nineteen (19) million acres of forest.

Peace and quiet envelop you at Bella Luna.  Feel free to explore and hike our property. You will be surrounded by a thick forest of mature hardwood trees.

RECENT UPGRADES & ADDITIONS!!!  

• We have just upgraded our two televisions to HD Flat Screens.
• Enjoy the sounds of nature with your morning coffee or a romantic glass of wine while you sit at our new Pub Table which is located in the most scenic corner of our covered deck.

ADDITIONAL AMENITIES PROVIDED

We provide wash cloths, hand & balth towels, towel warmer (master bath), bed linens, extra blankets, hairdryers, spa robes & spa towels, toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent and kitchen trash bags.  Our kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, pot holders, trivets, kitchen hand towels, mixing bowls, oven trays, coffee maker, toaster, blender and a large gas BBQ on our deck for grilling.  We also supply coffee and snacks.  Our cabin has and ample supply of good tasting well water, which is filtered and softened.  Our well water does not contain any iron or have a bad odor.

THINGS YOU SHOULD BRING 

Toiletries (bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, etc.), food, sunscreen, insect repellant, camera, binoculars, flashlight, walking sticks, hiking boots.  In the winter, it is recommended that you use a four-wheel drive vehicle in the Hocking Hills area as some of the roads will become very slippery when snow covered.
